Disposal Instructions for Plastics（英語）

　 The Yao City Municipal Recycling Center was opened in April 2009 with a view to fostering a pro-recycling culture and a society that is able to face the challenges of global warming.

  As well as natural resource waste (bottles and tins) and complicated waste / bulky waste, the recycling centre can also recycle items such as plastic containers.  This is based on the law concerning the promotion of sorted waste collection and the re-merchandizing of plastic container packaging (Container Packaging Recycling Law).

The Container Packaging Recycling Law is intended to prevent the amount of waste from further increasing by promoting through sorted waste collections the reuse of plastic container packaging (40% of domestic waste) as natural resources.

You, the citizens and consumers of Yao have an important role to play.  Proper recycling will be achieved by combining efforts between the city and businesses involved in production and sales.

 We would request your understanding and cooperation.

　八尾市では、循環型社会・脱温暖化社会の構築を進めていくため、平成21年4月に八尾市立リサイクルセンター
がオープンしました。ここでは、これまでの資源ごみ（びん・缶）や複雑ごみ・粗大ごみのほかに、新たに「容器包装
に係る分別収集及び再商品化の促進等に関する法律（容器包装リサイクル法）」に基づく「容器包装プラスチック」
や「ペットボトル」などが処理できることとなります。　
　容器包装リサイクル法は、ごみの量をこれ以上増やさないために、家庭ごみの約4割を占める「容器包装プラス
チック」などを分別して収集し、資源としての再利用を強力に進めることを目的としています。消費者でもある市民
の皆さん、市、製造・販売に携わる事業者が力をあわせてはじめて、リサイクルが成り立ちます。
